They believe in being a strong advocate for not only change but justice and equity. They strive to create a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space to exist as clients navigate their mental health journey. Skyler will walk alongside their clients helping their strengths shine through and continue to grow.
Skyler earned their Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Central Michigan University helping create an approach to counseling by utilizing techniques from multiple theories with an emphasis on mindfulness and trauma informed approaches such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. Skyler is passionate about meeting clients where they are in the therapeutic process and walking alongside them in collaboration to grow long term.
Therapy is not a one size fits all process and progress through the process is not either. Everyone moves along this journey at their own pace and feels their progress at various stages throughout their journey. Skyler strives to create a safe, non-judgmental, and affirming space that allows clients to work together in the best way possible. Whether working with clients processing traumatic experiences, navigating life transitions, exploring aspects of their identity, or seeking support for neurodivergence-related challenges, Skyler brings empathy, clinical expertise, and genuine respect for each person’s autonomy and inherent worth.
