Kyle (He/Him) is a dedicated and compassionate clinical therapist committed to providing inclusive, affirming, and trauma-informed care. He holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Sociology from Wayne State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wayne State’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program. He also earned a graduate certificate in Drug and Alcohol Abuse Studies from Wayne State University.
His professional foundation began with two years of service as a case manager at the Noah Project Detroit, where he supported individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them access vital services and stability. During his graduate studies, he also served as an Overdose Rescue Trainer with AmeriCorps, educating communities on opioid overdose prevention and intervention strategies, before moving into a clinical social work position as a therapist.
Currently, Kyle practices as a Clinical Therapist at Mount Pleasant Counseling, PLLC. He brings a warm, strengths-based, and person-centered approach to his work, utilizing a variety evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical and Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solutions Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to meet the individual needs of each client.
When he’s not in session, Kyle enjoys a quiet life with his wife, their dog, three cats, and small flock of chickens. He has a passion for gardening, exploring the outdoors, and collecting vintage video games.
